This pinhole video is one of a series of artworks that explore the workings of the research vessel Falkor in the Coral Sea Marine Sanctuary.

Moments in time that we take for granted are explored in a way that gives poetic nuance to the everyday task. As people move around the objects of their focus, in this case a magnetometer dragged behind a moving vessel to measure ocean crust magnetic resonance. Moments with Magi captures and transforms the everyday functional into the grace of movement between time and space.
